The 100 will soon land on this FREE streaming platform (See when!)

The 100 Pluto TV May 1

If you’re anything like me, you’ll own every piece of The 100 media known to humanity, including the freebies. Speaking of freebies, fans, whether they’re the OG’s, the long-termers, or the new ones, will again experience the beauty and wonder of the show! And I, for one, welcome it with passion.

The beloved dystopian drama starring Bob Morley and Eliza Taylor that encompasses life morals with unfathomable choices will soon be available on Pluto TV- the absolutely FREE streamer from Paramount Media. After Netflix removed it in December, fans were understandably upset. This prompted them to either purchase the complete series on DVD or Blu-Ray, or find other streaming alternatives. The downturn of streamer switching, though, is that consumers either have to pay per episode or season. While Amazon Prime has all seven seasons in its catalog, again, it is attached with a price.

Some people don’t mind paying for something they love, especially when it boosts their comfort. In recent years, there’s been an acceleration in fandom accumulation, in terms of attending conventions, collecting merchandise, and even connecting on social media about all things that interest fans. None of these things is bad. Yet, it’s just how one behaves toward them that will likely leave a stained imprint.

Most people on a budget these days are looking for ways to stretch their money, including by cutting back on entertainment. But it doesn’t have to be that way with The 100.

Here’s when The 100 will come to Pluto TV

The fan-crazed The 100 is dropping sooner than you think, and much to our joy! Starting on May 1, people can indulge in all 100 episodes (and no, that’s not a typo) on Pluto TV. You can relive the beauty of Bellarke, the turmoils of survival, and some of the greatest character development in television history. Or if you’re new to the show, be prepared for an emotional roller coaster. It’s more accelerating and descending than any amusement park ride.

The 100 | Coming to Pluto TV

The 100 streams free on Pluto TV starting May 1.

Other beloved Warner Bros. dramas will join The 100 on the platform on the same date, giving curious viewers something fresh and engaging to watch. Moreover, studies show that people prefer media from the past rather than current productions. Don’t get me wrong, as there is some great TV out there now. I particularly enjoy The RookieGhosts, and Happy’s Place for their diverse storytelling and absorbing material.

Yet there’s a certain security and specialness to rewatching an old, infinite favorite.

Cindy Holland, Chair of Direct to Consumer, emphasized that it’s not just us older generations that love classic TV. Generation Z is showing an appreciation for it, too.

“The data tells us that younger audiences don’t want new for the sake of new; they want good. Hart of Dixie, Arrow, The 100, and Everwood are shows with cultural staying power. Viewers know what they’re starting, they can binge the complete run from day one, and they don’t have to wonder if it’s worth their time.”

  • The 100 — The post-apocalyptic drama with a devoted fanbase, following a group of young survivors sent back to a ravaged Earth nearly a century after nuclear war. Originally aired 2014-2020. Seven seasons with 100 total episodes, available May 1.

So buckle up your dropship seatbelts, for you’re about to go on an unforgettable journey through the apocalypse.
