The exciting and historical sci-fi drama, Quantum Leap, is set to glitch off Netflix at the end of the week. While the NBC revival of the 1990s production ran for only two seasons from 2022 to 2024, it garnered a strong fanbase for its pivoting storylines, character arcs, and diversity. The 100‘s Eliza Taylor was cast as a main presence for season two, and her impact made Quentum Leap even better. That’s the power of Eliza, as she puts her grace into every project that she does.
But there’s only a limited time window for fans to check out Quantum Leap before it’s dropped from the streamer for good. It was only on Netflix for a mere six months, which is a short compared with the longevity of other popular shows. Yet, there’s great news, as there are countless options to watch the show after it leaves. This news will surely ease your panic as Quantum Leap can be enjoyed elsewhere.

When is Quantum Leap leaving Netflix (US) and why?
Friday, February 13, will be the very last day to binge-watch the entire QL series, as there are only two seasons and 31 episodes. It’s a disappointing move on Netflix’s part, given that the show saw a resurgence in audience. As mentioned, Quantum Leap was on the streamer for only six months, debuting in August 2025 and being removed this month. Previously, it was on the NBC streamer Peacock because it was an NBC original. High production costs and subpar ratings led to the cancellation of QL.
According to What’s On Netflix, the original release date was February 14, while other reputable sources said February 15. Understandably, dates can change due to licensing and contractual agreements, but as of this writing, February 13 is the correct date, as it is directly stated on the Netflix site when a user navigates to Quantum Leap‘s page after logging in.
What is Quantum Leap about?
Quantum Leap is the successor of its 1990s counterpart of the same name. Dr. Ben Song continues the path of Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) by time-traveling to different time eras, only to find out that there’s no explanation for WHY. It’s up to the team and Ziggy the Computer to bring Ben back home safely.
But there’s a Silver Lining and a Disguised Blessing in the time jumps. Ben has the chance to correct the wrongs without affecting their future consequences. Realistically, people can’t time-travel, and that’s what gives QL its fun, educational element.
Who stars in Quantum Leap?
The cast is a diverse lineup that includes Raymond Lee as the lead, Dr. Ben Song; Ghostbusters alum Ernie Hudson as his boss, Herbert ‘Magic’ Williams; LGBTQ performer Mason Alexander Park as Ian Wright; Caitlin Bassett as Addison Agustine; and Nanrisa Lee as Jenn Chu. Eliza joined the cast in season two as Hannah Carson, as did Peter Gadiot.
British actor James Frain was cast as Hannah’s adult son, Gideon, for the last four episodes. Wyatt Parker portrayed the child version of him.
What character does Eliza Taylor portray in Quantum Leap?
Hannah Carson is her name, and science is her game to describe Eliza’s QL alter-ego. The retro blonde beauty with her iconic fashions through four decades was featured in seven of the thirteen episodes in season 2. While she was immensely driven by science and a being a crucial member of the QL project during World War II, Hannah found love with Ben, despite not being able to see him. Their relationship was artfully written and one that only television could dream of, with passion and emotional depth.
Quantum Leap was Eliza’s next major TV project following The 100 in 2020.
In other words, yes, fans shipped Ben and Hannah.
Here’s how to watch Quantum Leap after it leaps off Netflix
If you’re in a mild panic about where to watch the series after Netflix’s removal, don’t be, for there are other options. The first option is to purchase a DVD set of the entire series. Amazon has it for $24, and the advantage of owning a physical copy is that it’ll always be available. The set is also great for our Canadian friends, as QL isn’t available on streaming platforms.
Individual episodes can be purchased on Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube.

Caitlin Basset shares what it was like working with Eliza Taylor in Quantum Leap
Grounders Source took the opportunity to ask star Caitlin Bassett what her vibe was when working alongside Eliza. Not surprisingly, the two actresses became fast friends and remain so to this day.
“It’s one [scene] in the Egypt episode where Ben [Song] is in the middle. It was middle, and Addison and Hannah were kind of talking to each other, kind of for the first time through Ben. And he’s stuck in this awkward situation with these two women. It was very fun, and Eliza and I had the best time to the point where Ray [Lee] was like you guys are enjoying this too much. We like, we are. Um, so we love that.
I also really liked the scene where she was, I mean, poor girl, she, she was having a great day. I mean, she was having a great day, but it was a hard thing to do cause she was stuck in the rubble and, you know, she couldn’t get out every time. She just had to stay stuck in the rubble, in the fire episode. It’s not only Eliza’s work that’s amazing, but there was just this really, we got to really connect as actors, kind of for the first time, because it was just us in the scene, but also like, as friends, because she was kind of stuck there. And i was kind of taking care of her.”
