This week was definitely filled with surprises, and it is not over yet! Today, the official The 100 season three poster was released! It has a very simple layout, but it is straight to the point. The burning city in the Clarke is gazing at looks a little bit like Chicago. Could be New York, could be Los Angeles, or any city in the world. It is absolutely amazing and very cool!
After a few hardworking weeks, I have complete my long-awaited article about disabilities on The 100. It is one of the few shows on tv that reflects strong people with challenges. Also, it also opened the door for many to become more at ease with who they are.
*Takes a very deep breath* Okay, I am calm and ready to recap. Oh, my God. Just, oh my God. Can you believe this? Today, the brand new The 100 season three trailer has fallen, and it has already created a wave of excited media frenzy. It has beaten out Star Wars on Twitter! Yes, Star Wars! And, I happen to be a Star Wars freak, but I could not help but feel over ecstatic! Who would have thought? Well, anyways, I am going to write the recap, and lastly, the plane wreckage of my emotions.
The trailer as you can see, is quite graphic and gruesome. Lexa is indeed back, and it appears that she and Clarke are once again allies. Bellamy is over distraught and guilt ridden over what had happened at Mount Weather. Yet, it looks like he is at his own personal war with his sister, as she pummels him in the end. Although I do not approve, she is a strong little thing. Then, you got that huge guard, trying to take over the camp like he is God, and if anyone dares to disobey or revolt against his ‘laws,’ then the answer will be death. Ohhh, rough. Poor Raven is being experimented on, and for what, I do not know, but please, leave that poor girl along already! I can’t stand to watch her being tortured! Now, Abby and Kane finally share a kiss together, and it is like the only light in the dark cyclone. Hey, it cannot not all be death and destruction right? Jaha is finding out what has caused the apocalypse with A.L.I.E, and Murphy is reunited with Emori. There is a sex scene thrown in there for good measure, and I think it is a split of two different affairs. One of the lovers though is Clarke. Ah, my heart has definitely died, and that is a very good thing in this case!
Those were some of the few key highlights, and my emotions and my mind are seriously gone. Boom! Gone. You tried to mentally prep your body for something like this, but in reality, it does not work. The scene that got me the most though is the feud between the Blake siblings. They were always so close, always, looked out for one another, and had each others’ backs. Something must have came between them to cause such an explosion. There is no other explanation for it. Hopefully, they will reconcile their differences and be strong once again. THEY HAVE TO BE! I am still very much breathless after viewing the trailer multiple times. I don’t know for certain if I will ever recover.
Be sure to check back tonight as I will have screen caps of the trailer up in the gallery, and tweet your reactions and feels to Grounders Source or leave a comment.
The 100 returns Thursday, January 21st, 2016 at 9/8 CT on The CW.
On December 20th, it will be Bobby’s 31st birthday! So, Grounders Source would love to do something special for him. Like Eliza Taylor’s birthday, fans sent in their own favourite photos, fan art, and personal messages, and they all created a video. Now, I like to be as creative and expansive with any project. This is what makes it fun and more sentimental, and personal. You can all send in a special piece, whether it would be your own fan art, messages, favourite photo of Bobby, video clip, etc. Here are the guidelines:
- All fan art, photos, clips, messages, and the like must be sent to the following email: firstname.lastname@example.org or through DM on Twitter
- Everything must be in by 5:00 PM (Central Time) on Sunday, December 19th. This is so I can put everything together and have it ready in time.
- NOTHING DEGRADING, INSULTING, OR SEXUAL IN YOUR PIECES. I am going to emphasize this because there are just too many attackers. For the reason of why, I have no idea. But, please be kind, nice, and sweet.
- Is there a hashtag? Yes, there is. #bobbysbirthdayproject Use this while tweeting your pieces.
- Try to keep the project a secret! We want Bobby to be completely surprised!
- Have fun, and put your heart into it!
I cannot wait to see all of your lovely work!
OH.MY.GOD! I have absolutely have no words! This evening, a twenty-one second promo for The 100 season three was released via social media. It reached over 10K views on Youtube already, and placed the fandom in pure euphoria. And this is just the sneak peek. The whole trailer will debut Monday. I was just like a child at Christmas time when I seen it, even if it was just twenty-one seconds. Absolute hysterical, and since I was driving home from work, it was hard staying focused! Don’t follow my example though.
Y’all are probably want to view the promo (again) so here it is!
Wow! Just. . . .wow. So many different emotions, and it looks like Kane is trying to out-reign Bellamy again. Well, that is my outlook. And what is the deal with Jonty? Are the Grounders at war again with the Sky People? Well, these questions and theories shall be answered when The 100 returns January 21st, 2016 on the CW for season three. What do you think of the sneak peek? Discuss your theories and thoughts in the comments or tweet them @GroundersSource via Twitter.
And where did the jeep come from?
Here is a piece of very sensational news! Sometime this week (I am going to guess, Wednesday) we will have the BRAND NEW The 100 season three trailer! While it has been literally a long time since we seen a new episode of the hit series, and we won’t have to wait that much longer as season three drops January 21st, a peek of the new season will hopefully whet our appetite. I am pretty ecstatic about this. The new trailer will air on Twitter, other social media platforms, The CW site, and of course here. As soon as it becomes readily available, I will post it. Ahh! I simply cannot enclose my excitement! Expect a small review on it, as I have to tell my perspective.
Here is a stroll through Memory Lane of the first season:
And another stroll when season two steamed in:
The season three trailer would be the ultimate early Christmas gift! ??
Update: Jason stated via Twitter that the new trailer will hopefully debut between Friday, December 11th, to Monday, December 14th.
Congratulations to the contest winners! It was a very difficult process, but I really hoped that you had fun! Here is the list of the five winners!
Thank you everyone who has entered the contest! It was a hard decision selecting, and I had to shelf personal feelings and go by merit and true-ism. Believe me, not a simple task! Placed winners will be selected by number of votes, and the appropriate prizes will be distributed soon after. Sound good? Okay then, let’s begin! Good luck!
I hope that everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving, and a pleasant day! For the record, I have added a clickable slider that will access to certain sections of the website. The image will bring you to a related section or to the Twitter account. Also, I have uploaded new photos in the gallery this week, and just working bits and pieces here and there.
On Tuesday, I would like to record a new podcast as I believe it is time for one. So, please tweet me your ideas, theories, questions, or any regarding The 100. Also, it is the time of year to reflect upon the true joy of the holiday season. So, what I was thinking that on Twitter we could do a small activity of ‘holiday cheer.’ I am always looking and thinking of new ways to try to reach out, whether it be animal aide, donating to my local food bank, or resale store, or spending time with special needs individuals.
For the activity, it will be basic, but uplifting. Anyone can participate, and hopefully, bring some light in others’ lives. I will have the details for this in a few days.
For The 100 Writing Contest, I will have the top five up on Sunday. The entries were excellent and insightful, and good luck to the participants! If you did not enter, that is alright. There is a new contest happening, and you can find it here.
I believe that I have covered everything. Much love to you all!
