The 100’s Alycia Debnam-Carey gets major role in upcoming Netflix series

The 100 Alycia Debnam-Carey Netflix

We have some fabulous news for Alycia Debnam-Carey fans! The Australian actress is best known for her roles as Lexa Kom Trikru and Heda of the 13 Clans from The 100. She is also known as zombie slayer Alicia Clark from AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead. Now, she has a new upcoming role! And the network this time is the streamer Netflix!

Alycia is no stranger to Netflix, having performed in its exclusive movie It’s What’s Inside and the series Apple Cider Vinegar in coveted roles. So, naturally, the popular streamer, which once housed The 100, would rehire her for its productions. Additionally, streaming has virtually taken over traditional cable. That is thanks to having options to watch or binge shows at one’s discretion.

Not that you should ditch basic broadcast, as watching a show live helps with the Nielsen ratings. This gives a stronger chance of renewal. Besides, there are still some great shows on broadcast that you should check out. The Rookie (ABC), Tracker (CBS), Memory of a Killer (Fox), and, if you love adult animation, like myself, The Simpsons and Family Guy are musts.

Understandably, rising streaming costs prompt consumers to unsubscribe. That means they can’t binge-watch their favorites, especially when it comes down to a few. DVD sets are perfect for combating this issue, especially when they include bonus content, such as gag reels, deleted scenes, and more.

Now, let’s break down Alycia’s new role, shall we? 🙂

Alycia Debnam Carey Netflix The 100

Alycia Debnam-Carey will star in Netflix’s Queenstown

Following her The 100 fame, Alycia has had a lot of work booked. She’s an ambassador for the Parisian fashion house Dior, and while she’s not gracing the Catwalks, she’s been attending the fashion shows. We love it for her!

Aside from being an ambassador, the 33-year-old scored a major role in the upcoming drama, Queenstown. At the time of this writing, her character is “under wraps,” as Deadline initially reported a few days ago. The series was filmed in the New Zealand mountains, surrounded by its breathtaking landscape.

Netflix dropped Queenstown‘s official synopsis below!

Beneath the glamour of Queenstown’s luxury ski scene, a privileged family and the people who work for them collide over power, loyalty, and desire.

“[Queenstown] is a bold, propulsive story of power, class and family set against the opulent world of a luxury ski town, and we can’t wait for our members to fall in love with this series the way we have. Along with a terrific screen sector, and with support from the New Zealand Film Commission and the Screen Production Rebate, we’re delighted that this production is creating opportunities for local crew, businesses and emerging talent while bringing this story to life,” says Amanda Duthie, Netflix ANZ Content Director.

The premiere date hasn’t been disclosed, but an estimate would be sometime in 2027. We can’t wait!

The Gersh Agency now represents Alycia across all media platforms, including television, film, and convention bookings.
