The 100 lands at Sci-Fi Valley Con and brings the fandom together

The 100 Sci-Fi Valley Con 2026

One of the largest The 100 cast reunions in the United States dropped at the 2026 Spring/Summer edition of Sci-Fi Valley Con. Taking place in the mountainous region of Altoona, Pennsylvania, and at the Blair County Convention Center, the bi-annual event became the center of nostalgia and pop culture. Therefore, fans from across our great globe were in attendance to see the stars up close. In addition, they came to learn a thing or two about the series.

While The 100 is no longer in production (it concluded with season 7’s finale in 2020), its spirit and fandom are expanding quickly. Furthermore, the older fans (Hi!) are revisiting the beloved series solely to bring joy and connect with lifelong friendships. And weirdly enough, much of The 100 scenarios feel like they’re happening in the current.

The 100 Sci-Fi Valley Con 2026

Take, for instance, season 3’s A.L.I.E and her AI storyline. The lady in the red dress and black stilettos was actually an avatar created by Dr. Becca Franko, also known by her Tritrigedasleng-translated name, Bekka Paimheda, a key figure throughout the show. ALIE built the City of Light to preserve the remaining human race. Free from pain and worries, the COL storyline projected a false hope, as a second nuclear apocalypse was about to happen. While in theory it’s a good idea, because who doesn’t want to feel pain when you’re about to get radiated, the heavy usage of AI was actually destroying the world. Additionally, it was also eliminating free will, and Clarke pointed that out to A.L.I.E before the former pulled that infamous lever and stopped the COL from further destruction.

Jump ten years later today, following season 3’s production wrap-up, and we see a plethora of AI platforms. The explosion of ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and other software has taken an firm hold on society. And at an alarming rate, we’re falling into its suction, nearly at a doomed point. If we should learn anything from The 100, it is that we shouldn’t allow tech to consume the world.

Sci-Fi Valley Con The 100 Reunion

Here’s what really happened at Sci-Fi Valley Con and The 100 reunion

Sci-Fi Valley Con 2026 wasted zero time with getting the fans connecting with their favorite stars. The doors opened promptly at 2 PM EST on  Friday, June 12. Quickly enough, lines flocked to the talent’s line. Speaking of whom, eight of The 100 guests came to the 3-day event. These stars included Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Tasya Teles, Henry Ian Cusick, Chelsey Reist, Johnny Whitworth, and, making her first US convention appearance ever, Adina Porter. While it does feel like it could be “compacted.” This is especially true given the time crunch of just three days.

Seriously, it’s every con-goer’s worst nightmare if they didn’t achieve all of their missions. But that wasn’t the case at all, as fans got lots of time spent with the talent. And as always, they (the talent) were the kindest and most down-to-earth individuals one could meet.

The 100 Sci-Fi Valley Con

Fans shared their stories of how The 100 and its characters transformed their lives with the actors. I would be lying if I didn’t say that I fell under this category. The drama catapulted a new sense of personal being within. Along with this came acceptance in an otherwise judgmental world. This revelation was a positive outcome for many audience members. As a result, seeing a partial reflection of themselves on-screen was a lit-up moment.

While autos, photo-ops, and selfies were all going on, fans got the deep dirt (not that deep!) on the show with the cast during their panels. Everything from queer/LGBTQ representation, character arcs, what the cast stole off the set once the finale’s production wrapped, and Marie’s iconic audition for Octavia Blake.

Thanks to the good and kind humans at Sci-Fi Valley Con, who uploaded all four panels on their respective YouTube Channel with the cast and their fan interactions. You’ll get the full-length videos of The 100 Reunion panel. Also, you’ll get the Adina Porter and Marie Avgeropoulos duo panel. You’ll also find the Henry Ian Cusick solo panel. Last, but certainly not least, the Bob Morley/Eliza Taylor (Bellarke) duo panel is available.

These are great for those who didn’t catch them at the con, need a refresher, or couldn’t attend in person.

A few The 100 at Sci-Fi Valley Con bonus bullets

  • Sci-Fi Valley Con was another amazing weekend that was spent with friends and making new ones!
  • The vendors were plentiful, with so many options in merchandise.
  • Bob Morley and Johnny Whitworth, everyone. That is all.
  • Eliza was on key in her fashion as always. Comfy, yet stylish.
  • Tasya brought a flannel shirt with the season one The 100 poster on the back. I wish I knew or had asked what vendor she got it from.
  • Shout-out to Celebrity Photo Ops for their hard work and patience all weekend long! And an extra special shout-out to Stacy, who was very well-organized and lovely!
  • Another peak highlight was meeting and chatting with the English actor, Maxwell Caulfield. The star from Grease 2 and Empire Records with Johnny.
