It has been revealed that actress Nesta Cooper will appear in the May 5, 2016, season 3 episode of The 100, “Red Sky at Morning.”
So far, Lexa has passed on, leaving Clarke to find the next Nightblood to hold the Flame. She brings along Bellamy, Octavia, and Jasper to Luna’s Oil Rig in hopes that the latter will accept the mind device to save them all from the City of Light. We’re not going any further, as that would be spoiling, and we don’t want to ruin that.
Who is Nesta Cooper playing on The 100?
Nesta will portray a Floukru grounder named Shay, but nothing is known about her until the airing. She’s previously been featured in the series Heroes Reborn, The Returned, UnReal, and the ever-popular cult classic, Supernatural. She can now add The 100 to her resume and become part of its long-lasting legacy. And that’s epic if we say so ourselves, because there’s not a dull character on the dystopian show.
Guest stars are to be honored on The 100, for they add a new perspective to the storylines. Michael Beach, who portrayed Charles Pike in the same season, was a storm to be reckoned with. The character unveiled fascist qualities and xenophobia toward anyone who didn’t align with his views and the Grounders.
It all sounds too familiar, doesn’t it? It happened in World War II, and it’s happening now. Science fiction offers a unique model of what could happen in the future and provides advice on how to prevent certain events from occurring. Yet, history often repeats itself throughout the eras as humanity can’t seem to learn a lesson. In The 100‘s case, both the kids and the adults are faced with the spinning of their moral compasses. They all made the hardest decisions, and all were questionable, but in fairness, it was all meant with the purest intention of survival.
Shay, like much of the Floukru Clan, is a peaceful member, as compared to the others who often respond in bloodshed and war to the discourse. Yet, there was always that thread of hope of doing better for the future. Yet, the lessons must be taken with absolute conviction if peace is the path to a fulfilling life and wellness.
