From season one through season three, we were shown glimpses of the Grounder clans that made up the coalition. Together, they make up the entire Grounder world. In the upcoming fourth season (debuting January 2017), we will see all of the twelve clans.

- Ingranrona Kru (Riders of the Plains)
- Boudalan Kru (People of the Rocks)
- Louwoda Kliron (Shallow Valley)
