Saturn Awards 2018 Nominations: The 100

The Saturn Awards 2018 nominations have been released today, and The 100 is among them!  This will be the third nomination for the dystopian series as they were nominated in 2015 and 2017.

The 100 is nominated for a Saturn Award, in the category of Best Science Fiction Television Series for this year.  In 2015, the show was nominated for “Best Youth Orientated Series”-and won.  The 100 was nominated once again for “Best Science Fiction Television Series.”

The show is not your typical science fiction medium-as it depicts conflict threatening survival, compelling relationship storylines, and the conscientious struggle of right or wrong.

Colony (USA)
Doctor Who (BBC America)
The Expanse (SyFy)
The Orville (Fox Television)
Salvation (CBS)
The X-Files (Fox Television)

Former cast members Alycia Debnam-Carey (Lexa) and Ricky Whittle (Lincoln) are also nominated for Saturn Awards.  Alycia is in the category “Best Performance by a Younger Actor On A Television Series” and Ricky is up for “Best Actor On A Television Series” for American Gods, and it’s also been nominated for “Best Fantasy Television Series.”  Alycia’s show, Fear The Walking Dead is up for “Best Horror Television Series.”  Adina Porter is nominated for Best Supporting Actress On A Horror Show” for her work on American Horror Story: Cult and the show is also among the “Best Horror Television Series” nominations.
