It’s official!  The 100 season 5 finally gets it well-deserved premiere date!  The news was announced today at the TCA presentation for the CW Network.  Please continue on for more.

Mark your calendars fans, as the date is revealed to be Tuesday, April 24th.  CW network president Mark Pedowitz disclosed the news this morning at the TCA press tour.  This is a bit longer than the usual mid-season date as it usually rolls around late January/early February.  In fact, this is even a longer duration than the first season premiere date of the post-apocalyptic series, which was March 19th back in 2014.

Yet, great things are worth the wait, so there is absolutely no doubt that fifth season of The 100, which will have a block of thirteen episodes, will be spectacular in multiple facets.  Expect sharp character arsBut, there is still the question of the trailer and why it’s not in our visual field, meaning it has not been released just yet.  To clarify why the reason for why this is, executive producer and creator, Jason Rothenberg, of the show, is now ‘tweaking’ the finishing touches on the trailer.

I know it’s a long time to wait. I can only promise that it’ll be worth it. A few final finishes to the trailer (adding the date and tweaking the score), then it’s in the Network’s hands. Won’t be long now for that at least. #The100

With the premiere date now disclosed, the trailer will soon follow.

Until then, keep sharing the and spreading word about The 100.  Remember, The 100 season 5 will air April 24th!

UPDATE: It is highly probable that The 100 will be renewed for a sixth season, but that decision will not be announced until May.   Also, it has been mentioned that the trailer won’t be released until March, but until that news is official from the writers and Rothenberg himself, it may or may not be valid.
